Linder's Fundraiser Now Underway

The Mustangs Swim & Dive team will participate in a Linder's Garden Center & Gift Card Fundraiser again this year.

This Linder's Fundraiser is really two fundraisers in one. The big push for this fundraiser starts right now with the Gift Card Sale. Selling the Gift Cards is the major part of the effort because not only do we earn 15% of the face value of the card, but also this gets the word out and advertises the Garden Center Event. Our proceeds multiply when we entice a supporter to not only purchase the Gift Cards, but also to use the Gift Cards on our special shopping days. Be sure to point out that the Invitation/Certificate must accompany all transactions or we will not receive credit for the sale.

The second component of the fundraiser is our Garden Center Event scheduled for Mother's Day Weekend 2012. Our suppporters have four days over Mother's Day weekend to shop on our behalf. The event runs from Friday, May 11 through Monday, May 14th. Note that our Gift Card Sale starts now, but will end on Friday, April 27th at 10pm.

Please click on the links below for the documents that you will need to successfully participate in this fundraiser.

1. The Linder's Garden Center Event and Gift Card Fundraiser Flyer.  (click here)

The Flyer explains important details of this fundraiser.

2. The "Invitation", as Linder's likes to call it.   (click here)

The Invitation, as you may recall from last year, is the all-important certificate that we should distribute to everyone we know - our families, friends, and neighbors.  A MVBSD Team fan who shops at Linder's on our weekend to support our team must present the invitation/certificate to the cashier at check-out each time he makes a purchase between May 11-May 14. Yes, that's right - there is no limit to the number of times a person may shop to support the team! The only stipulation is that a MVBSD invitation/certificate must accompany each and every purchase. At check-out, the cashier will record the amount of the purchase on the certificate. This ensures that our team will get proper credit for the sale. This credit comes in at a whopping 15% of the pre-tax sale of each MVBSD transaction. A key part of the success of this effort will be our advance push to get copies of our invitation/certificate into the hands of as many Linder's shoppers as possible. Feel free to email copies of the invitation/certificate to everyone you know.

3. The Linder's Gift Card Order Form.   (click here)

Linder's offers the Gift Cards in denominations of $20 and $50 only. Our earnings really increase when a shopper pays for his purchases with one of our Gift Cards. In that case, not only do we earn 15% of the face value of the gift card, but we also earn 15% on the total garden center sale. For that reason, please make the effort to sell the gift cards and encourage your buyers to shop on our special shopping days. You can use the attached hard-copy form, the on-line form from Google Docs (link below), phone, email, or text to submit your orders. All Gift Card orders must be submitted and paid for by no later than 10 pm on Friday, April 27th. We will deliver the order to Linder's no later than Sunday, April 29th. The Gift Cards either will be mailed (for those of you who include a stamped, self-addressed envelope) or ready for pick-up at the Schlais home by May 2nd.

To place an order online, use the following link to Google docs.

Thank you for supporting our team through your participation in this fund-raiser.  As you know, fundraising goes a long way to keep booster fees and other team costs down for everyone.

FYI, the following statement was included in an email that we received from the Linder's Fundraising Department.

“Linder’s insists upon your cooperation in respecting our customers and other participating groups by not soliciting in the general vicinity of our establishments.”

GO MUSTANGS!
